The NEO's unique rib design refines your brew and maximizes bypass. With 72 delicate ribs converging into 9 at the base. This design helps the water flow down the entire wall by intentionally increasing the contact area between the paper and the ribs. The result is a faster flow that produces a clean cup. Perfect for highlighting delicate notes in your coffee. This brewer can be a defining factor in reducing over-extraction and stalled brews. Enjoy the harmonious balance of acidity, sweetness, and body in every brew. Who knows, it might even leave you saying “Dang! That's a clean cup!”

Just got it yesterday, used it immediately and its super fast. Med roast with hario 02 paper filters taste came out rich and smooth. I'm very happy with the outcome. I need to play around with it using different roasts and maybe slap on the switch base.
All portofilters with paper filters rely on surface contact to break the surface tension of water; thus, allowing the water to flow through said portofilter. The Neo has 72 ribs along the top 2/3rds of the cone, it then converges to 9 larger ones at the bottom. These changes allow for a faster draw down time. I welcome this change, it meaningfully enhances the experience while brewing light roasts with Cafec T-92 filters. T-92 filters are prone to clogging and stalling w/ the final drops of water. The changes between the classic design and the neo in most other circumstances, are not as noticeable. While it is a great redesign as a more final form of a V60, being that clogging can happen w/ any bean or grind size; it has yet to present any drastic changes in brew. That being said, I have made changes in my brewing techniques due to this portofilter. I am able to agitate more aggressively with less worry of clogging. I can even grind a couple clicks finer on my Q Air. Nice:)
Perfectly fit to swirch base and have a tremendously faster flow than original switch glass cone. And it’s plastic thats much better temperature vise and hard to broke.) Totally recommend!
Provides an extremely even drawdown and endless profile potential when coupled with the switch base. Really happy to have this alongside my standard V60s.
