I have owned this Hario kettle for about 15 years and it has held up wonderfully. Design hasn't changed since then, because it's perfect. Boils water fast. The pour speed is very easy to modulate to your needs, and can pour fairly quickly if desired (I use a slower speed for coffee, and a faster speed for tea.) There are no "trouble spots" when pouring -- other gooseneck kettles I've owned over the years have had an issue where the pour will get turbulent when pouring at a particular flow speed, or when a certain amount of water remains in the kettle. This does not happen at all with this kettle. The opening is just large enough for me to fit my average-sized adult male hand into for drying (and the occasional deep cleaning.) The handle is cool to the touch, as long as you avoid touching the metal at the top.
Its really well made. Just what i needed for making good consistent coffee
Well built, hold more water than I thought, adds to my morning “coffee ritual”!!
